Kenwood Corporation, manufacturer of high-quality mobile electronics products, unveiled the XR-S17P, an ultra-slim component speaker package that company insiders say is one of their best-sounding speakers to date. "The XR-S17P is an amazing speaker that just happens to be our thinnest," states Rick Noetzli, Product Manager of Kenwood's Car Electronics Division. "We're all really pleased with the sound." According to Kenwood, the XR-S17P achieves eXcelon-level sound quality with a 35% reduction in mounting depth and a 50% reduction in weight. This smaller depth allows the speaker to be mounted in more locations like factory doors and custom kick panels, places that previously couldn't accommodate normal size high-performance speakers.
