Are Segways in scope here?

If you ask me, the Segway is both a gadget and a vehicle. I've done some after-market "dash" add ons to mount drink holders, GPS units, and more. Can I get an amen from the millions of Segway owners out there?

Porn on your DVD Player Legal?

I don't know about you, but I see alot of cars that have DVD players in them. You can pretty much see everything they are showing, at night, when you are behind them at a stop light. I have never seen this, but, if someone is watching a porn video you would (and your kids) could easily see every thing happening on their screen. In my state there has been discussion about how to handle this legally. Has anyone heard of any definitive rulings or laws regarding this?

Coolest Custom Radar Detector Rig

Something I'll never forget - taking road trips with my family. Fortunately, we weren't stuck in the family van - we were able to borrow a really nice conversion van from a family friend. This thing had it all, was super comfortable, and a real treat for us as kids. One of the things I loved about this van was the "captain's chair," or "chairs" I should say; the driver and passenger seats were a swivel bucket style seat, and the front console was huge. The crown of all of this was a custom radar detector mount. It was actually installed into the top portion of the console, and at a (hidden) button, the detector would reveal itself, using an electric motor. The bottom of the housing was even carpeted like the interior. At the press of the cleverly hidden button, the radar detector would "disappear." Awesome. Tell me about the coolest radar detector setup you've seen...

Benefits Of High-End Radar Detectors

Currently, I don't have a radar detector in my car (although I probably should!) In the past, I've used a very basic Beltronics, which had a colored LED display and a simple escalating beep alert. I believe it also detected laser signals. It always worked well, but would often pick up confusing "ghost" signals from supermarkets, etc, anything with moving doors I believe would set it off. What are some features of "top-end" radar detectors that make them better than just a basic one? Do they filter out these offending signals in a better way? Are they more accurate?

Customizable Car Alarms

Hello everyone. Who out there knows what kind of car alarm systems can be customized for certain alarm sounds? I don't know about you, but I have often heard the same exact car alarm sound - it's almost as if we're desensitized to it! It would be great to change that to different options.

Can anyone recommend a good car alarm system to me? I know many use non-electronic systems. What are the best options out there (gadgety or otherwise)?
