<title>100-MPG Fleet Vehicle Hybrid Concept Van</title>
      <link>http://www.motodash.com/forum/thread/13351/100-MPG-Fleet-Vehicle-Hybrid-Concept-Van/?src=forumtopic_rss</link>
<description>Bright Automotive, a startup lead by a veteran of GM&amp;rsquo;s EV1 program, unveiled their concept eco-conscious hybrid utility van called the &amp;ldquo;Idea&amp;rdquo; at the Capitol on April 21st, 2009. equipped with premium truck parts , the truck will offer low operating costs for fleet managers and less pollution than current technology. To meet the 2012-2013 target date, the company is looking to the Department of Energy for a $450 million loan to start production. The company also plans to make this a &amp;lsquo;made in America&amp;rsquo; product. The Bright Idea (a name too clever by half!) is aimed squarely at fleet customers -- the local cable company, the post office, that sort of thing. It's got lots of room -- 180 cubic feet, to be exact -- and a 2,000-pound payload. With a 50-mile, all-electric range, the Idea sounds like a great urban delivery rig.</description>

The said pick up truck is a single seater and it is battery operated, also added to its features is the ability to change its wheelbase and load carrying configuration depending on application. The CarGo's discount truck parts has its unique features: In &amp;ldquo;compact mode&amp;rdquo; the CarGo folds up like origami to function as a compact car with the cargo box nestled vertically against the cab like a trunk. &amp;ldquo;Narrow mode&amp;rdquo; extends the wheelbase slightly for improved stability plus it enables the CarGo to bank around corners, like a motorcycle. &amp;ldquo;Pickup truck mode&amp;rdquo; fully extends the CarGo&amp;rsquo;s wheelbase to allow the cargo box to sit flat. The cargo box can also be widened on-demand. Vehicle length is changed by adjusting its rod-in-tube-style chassis, like raising or lowering a bicycle seat.is this innovative battery powered vehicle that boasts of variable track, wheelbase and load carrying configurations. It features a Compact Mode, Narrow Mode (with banking corner action) and Pick-up Truck Mode. The Compact Mode sees the Pick-up section flushed to the back of the cabin.
